Kenal Louis was born on November 18, 1990, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. His family migrated to the United States when he was a child and he spent most of his childhood growing up in West Palm Beach, Florida. Louis is a self-taught visual artist who specializes in line art as well as digital painting.
His works are inspired by master artists like Pablo Picasso, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jackson Pollock, and Hokusai Katsushika. Over a course of 10 years following his high school graduation in 2008, Louis has created artwork series with various styles. A lot of his artworks can be found online if you Google for his name and art. His collections of line art contain a distinguished form of line movement.
The digital portrait paintings that he creates also are distinctive and specific to his style of work. There are a lot of accents of gold, texture, symbolism and dramatic lighting within his portrait compositions.
Since 2012, Louis has transformed and expanded his artworks. His work continues to evolve as he experiments with different styles and pushes the boundaries of his visual imagination. His passion for fashion, beauty, culture, and drawing allow his works to easily be recognized by his art followers along with those who become a fan of his art.
Kenal Louis has been recognized by a few celebrities like Zendaya, who featured his fashion illustration of her on her app called Zenzine. Other celebrities have shared artworks from his Royalty Art series on Instagram like Trevor Jackson, Amandla Stenberg, and more. Always ready for his next visual challenge, Louis boldly progresses forward into a promising future with his unique sense of creative direction.
With a passion for art, he aspires to inspire other artists to push the boundaries of their imagination. He also hopes to spread awareness of love and patience with his works.
My name is Kenal Louis and I am a creative artist. I practice various forms of art, but primarily visual art. Although, I do have experience in doing editorial beauty and fashion photography along with graphic design.
I am a self-taught visual artist. Much of the artworks that I create are inspired by visual artists the likes of Andy Warhol, Haitian descendant Jean-Michel Basquiat, Pablo Picasso and Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai.
The style of artwork that I produce are illustrations both contemporary in ink, acrylic and digital. Much of my work can be found online. A wide collection of his work can be found on Kenalsworld. Kenalsworld is the first artist portfolio I created online, but eventually may disappear and Kenallouis.com will be the primary place for people to find my work.
